Congratulations to the SCHS Indian Football Team.

Congratulations to our Lady Indian Softball Team.

Attention all 7th and 11th grade parents –Reminder GA LAW REQUIRES all students entering the 7th grade receive 1 dose of Tdap and 1 dose of the MCV4 vaccine. 11th graders who are 16 years of age or older are required to receive a booster dose of the MCV4. The only exception to not receiving these vaccinations under law is a medical exemption from your child's physician which is good for 1 year or a religious exemption which never expires. These must be documented on the proper forms. Failure to comply with this law puts your child in danger of being WITHDRAWN from school until they are compliant! IF YOUR CHILD RECEIVES THEIR IMMUNIZATIONS IN A STATE OTHER THAN GEORGIA you will need to obtain a copy of their shot record from your doctor and then take it to our local health department for transfer into the GRITS system. Other state forms are not accepted by our state for compliance.
Deadline to submit records/forms was September 8, 2026. If you have any questions please contact our school nurse Tina Calhoun.

Do not forget to update and complete your Online Registration for the 26-27 school year. Each student must have an updated online registration. September 4th was the deadline and students who did not complete the registration may be withdrawn from school and not allowed to attend until registration is complete. Work-Based Learning Student/Employer Spotlight
Miley Grimsley is beginning her second year with SunSouth, building valuable skills and experience through Work-Based Learning (WBL). A dedicated student in the SCHS Agriculture Department, Miley has completed multiple agricultural pathways and is enrolled in Agribusiness this year.
The knowledge and hands-on skills Miley has gained through SCHS have helped her find success on the job, providing a strong foundation for her future in agriculture and business.
SunSouth has been an outstanding WBL partner over the years, and we are incredibly grateful for their continued investment in our students. Partnerships like this provide meaningful opportunities for students to apply what they learn in the classroom to real-world experiences.
Pictured here is Miley with her immediate supervisor, Trevor Smith. Thank you, SunSouth, for being such a valued partner and for helping us prepare the next generation of agricultural leaders. We look forward to continuing to learn, grow, and educate our students together!
