Seminole County Middle High School

Over 60 SCMHS students were recently nominated by their Language Arts teachers for a Creative Writing and Storytelling workshop. The 2-day workshop held in the media center on Feb. 1st and Feb. 8th was led by SCHS alumni, Miss Riley Forrest. Riley graduated with a degree in Theater and Performance Studies from Kennesaw State University, with an emphasis on storytelling and children’s theater. Students enjoyed impromptu stories, sharing ideas and learning to use words to create images in their writing. Riley is currently teaching at Southeast Alabama Community Theater and participating in the latest Cotton Hall production, Swamp Gravy: Nothing but a Will.
