On February 2, family and friends of Tyree Rainey gathered at the SCMHS Cafeteria to celebrate him signing a football scholarship with East Tennessee State University. Tyree is excited to become a Buccaneer and we are super excited for him and the opportunity that he has been given.
Coach Stegall shared his stories of Tyree, and how much he wished he had not been injured his junior year. Stegall wishes Tyree the very best. Principal Shane Purdy spoke highly of Tyree, on and off the field. He stated that Tyree’s “hits are powerful and he covers a lot of ground in a hurry”. He also wished Tyree the best and asked him to “stay humble and continue to have that big heart for helping others”.
