At SCES, students are rewarded for their independent reading every 9-week period. Each student has the opportunity to earn up to 4 Independent Reading goals during this time. To achieve each goal, students must complete a choice board. The rewards for completing choice boards are as follows: - 1 choice board = recess - 2 choice boards = extra reading time - 3 choice boards = ice cream coupon - 4 choice boards = STEM toy time
*Students who complete four choice boards also get an invitation to the end-of-year Reading Party. Each choice board consists of 10 tasks that must be completed using 10 different books that the student reads. We would like to recognize the students who completed their independent reading choice boards during the first 9 weeks. CONGRATULATIONS AND KEEP READING!!
