Greetings,

Seminole County Schools, in collaboration with Seminole County Family Connection, is gearing up for the 5th Annual Christmas Connection Project. This is an initiative dedicated to ensuring students and families in our community experience the joy of Christmas.

The Christmas Connection Project has provided gifts, clothing, and essential items to families in need across Seminole County. Last year, with the generous support of local businesses, organizations, and community members, we were able to brighten the holidays for 40 families (81 children). This year, the need is even greater, and we are reaching out to ask for your support.

Ways you can help:
● Financial contributions – All donations go directly toward meeting the needs of local families. Checks can be made payable to Seminole County Family Connection.
● Sponsorships/partnerships – Businesses, organizations, and/ or community members can sponsor a family. Sponsors can choose household size and will shop to fulfill the family's wishlist. (Wishlist will be provided to the sponsor)
● In-kind donations – Gifts, clothing, non-perishable food items, or other essentials.
If you plan to shop on your own, we are asking that items be dropped off by 4:00 pm on Thursday, December 11th, at the Seminole County Board of Education (203 E. 6th Street- Room A113) to Bianca Bright. Items will be distributed to families beginning December 12th. Feel free to wrap the gift, but label the gift with the student's initials.

Contact Bianca Bright (Seminole County School Social Worker) by email at (bianca.bright@seminole.k12.ga.us) or by phone 229-309-1563 if you have any questions.

Sponsorship Levels Based on Household Size
Level 1- $100 (1-2 children)
Level 2 $200 (3-4 children)
Level 3 $300 (4+ children)

*Gift cards accepted for middle/ high school students.

*Checks can be made payable to Seminole County Family Connection.*

With Gratitude,

Bianca Bright, Seminole County System Social Worker

Hugh Mills Stadium in Albany was put on temporary lockdown this morning during the Region Track meet as a precaution due to events taking place nearby. Everything is now back to normal, and the competition has resumed. All Seminole County students were with their coaches and the Athletic Director during this situation and all of them are accounted for and safe.
