We intend to make a decision today before school ends regarding school on Tuesday. If changes are made, all media sources will be notified to inform everyone.
Georgia law now requires each school district to prepare and practice intruder drills yearly in the event of an incident. Seminole County Schools will conduct these drills at both schools tomorrow, September 12, 2023, in conjunction with the Seminole County Sheriff’s Department. The safety and welfare of our students, teachers, and staff are high priorities in the Seminole County School District. The board meeting location for tonight, March 6, 2023 at 7:00pm, has been changed to the Student Learning Center at Seminole County Elementary School. The address is 800 Marianna Highway, Donalsonville, GA, 39845. The Student Learning Center is located by the Seminole County Elementary School Cafeteria.

SCMHS students' weekly meal bag will be available on Tuesday, January 25th at the front entrance from 10:30am - 12:30pm. Please come out and pick one up. Bags will include breakfast, lunch, fruit, vegetables, and milk. Thank you for your participation.
Due to staffing shortages, related to COVID-19, Seminole County Schools will be closed on Friday, January 21, 2022. Seminole County Elementary School, grades PK-5, will resume face-to-face instruction on Monday, January 24, 2022. However, Seminole County Middle High School, grades 6th-12th, will transition to a distance learning model the week of Monday, January 24, 2022 through Friday, January 28, 2022 . The Seminole County School District will start back to school with face to face instruction on Tuesday, September 7, 2021. All buses will run the regular school routes. Good luck to all students and staff!
Due to staffing shortages, related to COVID, Seminole County Schools will transition to a system-wide distance learning model at the end of the school day on Monday, August 23, 2021. Tuesday, August 24th will be a transition day and students will not attend school or have instruction. This day will be used for teachers to prepare and transition instructional plans for learning to resume on Wednesday, August 25, 2021. Students will be in distance learning from Wednesday, August 25, 2021 - Friday, September 3, 2021. Face-to-face instruction will resume on Tuesday, September 7, 2021.
