The Seminole County Board of Education is aware of an incident that occurred this afternoon at Seminole County High School involving a student who brought an air pistol onto campus. School administrators responded immediately in accordance with district safety protocols. The student involved has been suspended, and the matter has been referred to local law enforcement for further investigation. At no time was the safety of students and staff compromised beyond this isolated incident. We take situations like this very seriously, and we remain committed to maintaining a safe and secure learning environment across all our schools. The safety and well-being of our students and staff will always remain the top priority of the Seminole County Board of Education. We appreciate the swift actions of school personnel and the cooperation of law enforcement. We encourage families to speak with their children about the importance of school safety and to report any concerns to school officials.
