The Seminole County Board of Education announced several leadership changes within the school system following its Board meeting on March 9, 2026.

Beginning with the upcoming school year, Truette Johnson will serve as the new principal of Seminole County High School, Mary Jean Albritton will lead Seminole County Middle School, and Paige Miller will serve as the new principal of Seminole County Elementary School.

Johnson previously served the district as principal of Seminole County Elementary School and brings extensive leadership experience and a strong commitment to student success. Albritton, who most recently served as principal of Seminole County High School, will transition to lead the district’s re-established middle school program.

Miller will enter her first year as a principal after serving as assistant principal at Seminole County Elementary School. In that role, she has played a key part in leading several instructional initiatives and helping implement the State of Georgia’s Science of Reading initiative to strengthen early literacy instruction across the school.

District leaders are especially excited about the re-establishment of Seminole County Middle School. Reopening the middle school has been a goal of the district in conjunction with the construction and operation of the new K–12 facility. In addition to supporting age-appropriate learning environments for students, the district will also receive additional state funding for operating a middle school program.

The Board of Education expressed confidence in the leadership of Johnson, Albritton, and Miller as the district continues moving forward with its Strategic Plan and ongoing efforts to support student achievement.

“The Board of Education is looking forward to the leadership of these principals as we continue implementing our strategic plan and strengthening opportunities for our students,” district leaders said.

The Seminole County School System remains committed to its vision and mission of “Learning Today, Succeeding Tomorrow — Every Student, Every Day.”
