On behalf of the Seminole County School System, I would like to extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to Fire Chief Dean King and the entire Donalsonville Fire Department for their quick and professional response to the electrical issue that occurred on the morning of August 25, 2025, in the Pre-K building at Seminole County Elementary School.
Thanks to their prompt action, along with the preparedness and calm response of our administration, teachers, and staff, all students were safely relocated to the Student Learning Center without incident. Everyone followed our established safety protocols with great care, ensuring that our children remained safe and secure throughout the event.
We are grateful for the continued partnership and support of our local emergency services. It is reassuring to know that our schools are backed by such a dedicated and capable team of first responders.
