Teacher Spotlight - Dr. Mellanie Poole

Hi, I am Dr. Mellanie Poole and I have been blessed enough to teach in the Seminole County School System for 29 years. I love learning; therefore, I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Education, a Master of Science degree in Education, an Educational Specialist degree in Curriculum and a Doctorate in Curriculum and Instructional Leadership. During my career, I have taught in grades 4-8 in all subject areas and have taught at the college level (part time) for 5 years. I currently teach 7th grade life science and 8th grade physical science. In addition, I am the sponsor of the middle school science club and have been a previous advisor for the National Jr. Honor Society, Y club, and an advisory board member for 4-H. When I am away from school, I enjoy traveling (especially to visit my son, Tyler who also travels a lot), reading, and spending time with my family. I also have a daughter and 3 grandchildren that I love, love , love to have fun with every day.
