Back to School

Welcome to SCMHS!  We have added some helpful information regarding the 2020-2021 school year.

1. All students will have their temperature checked when they arrive on campus before entering the building.  If student is being dropped off by parent, student must remain in vehicle until temperature is checked.  Student drivers will have their temperature checked when they pull into the parking lot while still in their vehicle.  Bus riders will have their temperature checked upon exiting the bus, before entering the building.

2. Entry points to the school (before 8:00):  Parent drop off will enter through the gym lobby.  Student drivers will also enter through the gym lobby.  High school bus riders will exit bus at north end of 300 hall and proceed to the gym lobby entrance.  Middle School bus riders will enter through the front left door and proceed to the cafeteria.

3.  First period class BEGINS at 8:00 a.m.  for both Middle School AND High School.  1st bell to go to first period will ring at 7:56.

4. Wearing masks - all bus riders must wear a mask while on the bus.  All students and faculty are highly encouraged to wear a mask while in the building.  Masks fall under student dress code in the student handbook "No clothing which advertises substances illegal to minors, and/or is suggestive or obscene.  Clothing with derogatory, distracting, offensive, terroristic, insulting, sexual, violent, or insinuating messages are prohibited." (page 34)   Masks will be provided while supplies last.

5. Cell phones are welcome at SCMHS.  However, students need to demonstrate responsibility and respect to others (especially adults) in order to keep this privilege.

6. Distance Learning Students:  You must be online at 8:00 Monday morning and in your class.  Your classes will not be visible in Edgenuity until August 24th.  A copy of the instructions you were given at Open House for Distance Learning will be located under the documents tab in the school app and website.

We look forward to seeing everyone at school on Monday (in person or online)!
